Happy birthday Queen...

And thanks for the public holiday......

Well uni exam prep is pretty much on the way, I ventured to uni today to get some study done! well talk about a shock to the system!!! First of all I was in a meeting room and someone who apparently "booked" it was totally rude...

THEN I went to sit in the "QUITE STUDY" area, to which I was greeted with a bloke who proceeded to explain to his girlfrien his plans for her that evening! Apart from being highly sexual they also sounded pretty crap, so pitty to her :p Once that conversation finished, the guy next to me forgot how to blow his nose and could only master an occasional snort of snot - TALK about majorly GROSS! I mean does society nowadays completely neglect social norms..... I mean blow your nose and dont talk about sex in a loud voice!

If I wanted this much noise I would have stayed at home with my almost 4 year old...

Oh well, I got a bit done - still sooo much more to do! PLUS I need to make a decision about what subjects I am going to do next semester arghhhh so many decisions. I need to deicde if I am going to drop work down a day or what I am going to do - I really cant financially do that but I might have to.... oh dear too many decisions..

Well I better get back to the study or my uni degree will continue on forever!!!

Cheers

Clearly I am not used to this updating stuff

I am totally slack and clearly not very good at this keeping blogs updated! I think its becuase I dont think anyone actually reads it oh well!

Here is a quick updated for you:

I have gone back to work, which is a nice but frustrating development. Its a pretty kewl place to work and like any job its has its ups and down, but all in all its ok. I have been there for 8 or so months - Starting to find my feet and get into the swing of things.

I finally finished TAFE which is a HUGE relief! Uni is still is still uni, about to finish for the semester. I have dropped uni back to part time to help with the stress of work and the general running of life, because of this uni is going to take another 12 months to finish! DRAG, but not going grey BONUS!

Peta is just amazing sometimes! She has the funniest little sayings and comments, she has turned into a real little person. Everyone keeps saying she is a spitting image of me! I would like to deny it 100% but truthfully yup she is just like me! Scary to think really, I kinda think the world is barley big enough for me let alone one house.

On the house note - we are still licing here with mum, but now I am work we are looking at moving out! Just trying to get the balance between work and uni and sleep right before we go and make any HUGE decisions. But the time has definatley come to spread my wings and move - will be hard but I hope rewarding!

Sewing has becoming along nicely, a few bits and bobs being done - I am slowly getting better all the time so that is good. I will have to try and post some pics of my creations! Some I am very proud of and others not so proud off! I have also tried knitting, this cold weather really does make you do some CRAZY things I swear.

Well really nothing too exciting has happened here! My love life is still non existent and yup it still gets to me but one day at a time! Some days have bigger struggles than other but I do try - its hard but hey Peta and I are slogging along.

Hope this finds you all well!

I know I am the biggest slack arse around....

So much to update on... Will do the sewing stuff over the weekend.

More importantly we had Little Miss's 3rd birthday and party on almost 4 weeks ago!! :O She had then best time and well so did I.... the weather was mpretty crap, but well survived inside, It was a fairy and elf party and we had lots of fairies and one little elf (who I migh add was the bell of the ball!.... Or I should say the elf of the party). I will hopefully post some pics a little later... (waiting for them to download from the camera)

Also, as my countdown ticker shows.... I also celebrated my birthday. I swear as you get older, birthday's just become less and less special!:( I still had to go to uni and all that jazz so it was just another day in the week......

I did however get a new sewing machine, which is really kewl! Does lots of fancy bits and bobs now. I have mainly just been trying out all the different stiches and all the stuff but have made Peta a dress (nothing flash) and matching bag thing (which I pretty kewl!). I am hoping to make a few more little bags BUT as my next lot of news will suggest I am a little extra busy!

I have landed myself a job! YAY! It basically fell into my lap and really I just couldnt say no. Timing is pretty horrible but I will survive. The money will be GREAT and I might even be able to move out in jan next year. Would move out sooner, but going on a little trip in dec so not much point IYKWIM. It is very exciting and also going to be a little bit of a challenge, so it will be nice to get back to the land of the working adult!

Still hvaing problems with the laptop, but I dont think they will ever be properly fixed :( Will just have to save and get a new one..... well maybe soonish.

Uni is going well, Mid semester break next week and a heap of assessment due after that but only 10weeks left so cant really complain too much. Plans for my sisters wedding are going very well, going to Pick Peta's dress up on thursday hopefully, so will post some picture a little later.

Well that is all from me... I promise I will be back soon with pictures!

Hope this finds you all well!

And the results are in....

Got my uni results this morning and I actually did pretty good! I got one D, one C and 2 P's. But considering all the stress I had with my uncle and X and all that jazz I think I did pretty well for my self. In all honesty, I think I am just glad I didnt see an F! I would have been happy with 4 P's for all I care. Just glad those subjects are over and done with.. YAY!!! Gawd just four more subjects to tackle next sememster... speaking of which I should really find out when that starts...

Mum is being you usual pain in the rear self today, but hey I guess that is just the way the cookie crumbles. I really feel like I should move out, but the only way I can achieve that is if I leave uni and find full time work. I might have to look at doing uni PT and work PT but it does mean uni will take me another 3 years to finish instead of 18months. I might have to weigh the pro's and con's up over the next few days and see what kind of jobs are out there hmmmmmmm Either that or I need to find myself a rich million who wants to take care of me...... (like thats going to happen!!!)

Oh a lighter note, I have finally finished a project that I am happy to post a pic of. The other ones are not bad on my part but lets just say the material is not so flash....

Photobucket

So what do you all think?? It still needs to be hemed, but as it is a summer dress I figured I might do that then... who knows how tall the monster will be by then. The pattern for it is actually a top, but I used a bigger size so that when she does grow I can just change it to it IYKWIM??? I found the fabric at spotlight, cant for the life of me remember what it is called but it is pretty funky hey? I am not sure if you can tell from the picture but they are little apples.. and the strpas just tie up.. so yup I am pretty chuffed with myself! I also made Peta some more pj pants out of the really kewl purple flano, it has leaves and green catapillas all over it. I also purchased some more material from the states, I figure I will just try a few different places out and see what their quality and stuff is like. Their postage seems to be pretty fair priced and generally works out cheaper even with a conversion fee but yeah will have to see what the quality is like.

All in all my day has been pretty Hoe hum, the situation with mum is REALLY getting to me and between her, my X and Peta saying 'mummy' every thirty seconds I am starting to feel a little crazy.

My Mantra for the day....

'I must stop buying fabric online to feed my sewing addiction'

There I finally said it... I have a sewing addiction, I think I have hinted to it in the past BUT now its out there for the world to hear about it (or should I say read about it). I made myself a bag last night...... NOT the best thing I have ever done BUT it was ok, I just need to add handles to it. I will try and post some pics of it later.

I might try and make another one later this arvo, with a few off cuts to give it a bit of different feel IYKWIM? I also might try and knock up some more pants for miss Peta. It so cold there days. I also found a few really kewl fabric shops online one ishttp://funkyfabrixonline.com/store/Default.asp and the other is http://www.retromummy.com/ I got myself a few bits and bobs on there, as well as some new patterns from Ebay (mainly dolly stuff on there though!).

One of the parenting website I am on, has a sewing and hobbies section and well I have been lurking around there for a while. Last night one of my IRL (in real life) friends caught me :o ! Oh well she is a bit of a secret sewer to! They also have a thread on there about 'softies' I might try and knock one up and IF it is any good post a pic on there... LOL I am such a scaredy kat sometimes!

I also found a pattern for a 'purse organiser' that I am planning on making for mum and few others for chrissy presents. It looks pretty easy and I am sure using different fabric and colours you could make it look pretty GOOD!

********************************************************************************

Did I mention I went to a 'Play school' stage show, Well actually and friend of mine and myself took our kids (sounds a little better that way I think lol). I finally had a chance to load some of them up. I will attempt to add some here.... BUT forgive me if I fail.......

New purchase...

I got myself a new pair of shoes today... I am going to use them to base my 'birthday outfit' around. I will try and post a pic of them later. Although there are possibly a few problems with them.....

You see, they have been made with the off cuts (I think) and they exactly match. There is one pair left at East Gardens that dont match either, so I am going to take the ones I bought to see if I could match them with the other non matching pair..... A little sneaky I know.

Well I caught up with a friend from uni last year, she transfered to a uni closer to her and it was a nice day. I made her walk from one end of the shopping centre to the other end about 4 or 5 times and I tell you its not that short of a distance.

Oh and I am very very excited!!! I noticed in someones blog that I stalk (blushing face now) that her daughter had a 'in the night garden' book mof which Peta LOVES! So I sent her a messgae asking about it and LOW and behold at the shopping centre today I noticed you can PRE ORDER the DVD due out just a few days before Peta's birthday!! YAY YAY! So I did that BUT I forgot to get the actual book..... (blushing face again!).

Well should prob head off to get the kiddlet BUT the heater is so nice and warm and it is soooo cold out there! hmmmmm what to do what to do!!!

Well I hope this finds you all well!

Do you like the revamp??

As you can see I have been a little busy finding new backgrounds and adding new pics - Still not sure if I like it or not yet so will keep you posted.

Took missy moo (who is a little under the weather) bowling this morning with my friends son, as well as my mum and the three girls she nannies for. Gotta love school holidays right??? WRONG!!! Dont get me wrong fun day had by all but by goll gosh there was HEAPS of kids there. Now as much as I am a mother and love my daughter very much, other people's kids (especially ones I dont know) are prob my least fav people ever to walk the earth... MAN O MAN where there some shockers there today!!! I had a 7year old swear at me, another kid tell me to MOVE and then stomped past me....grrrrrrr Manners where have they gone???

My Charming ex is playing games again but lucky for me I am one step a head, if ony accidentally ;) Oh well, I guess he makes my life interesting or at least my hair fall out!

I cant remember if I mentioned getting most of my chrissy present shopping over and done with... well at least the MAIN people. I have all of Peta's done and on layby (still need to get singlets and undies! LOL) and I have my mother's done and my brother's done. NOw I just need to pay the laybys off...... Maybe Santa can lead me some money! LOL

Well I did some more sewing last night, I finished off Peta's pj's and I also noticed that spotlight are having a sale on flanalette (sp) so mght have to grab me some to make a few more pairs. I also got a pattern to make some baby shoes BUT was thinking if I just keep enlarging the pattern to my size maybe I can make some for me, just around the house of course!!!

Anywho!! Miss 'I have a woggle fountain on my face' is due to wake up soon and I want to have a little kip before she does....... I survive better when I am having NO sleep to when I am having 6 hours. not sure how that works.

Hope you all well!

Jess
